Imagine a night market, block party, and more curated by Columbus’ brightest creative minds! UnderCurrent is a new event series in 2024 occurring underneath Janet Echelman’s “Current” sculpture at the intersection of Gay & High streets.
Downtown Columbus, Inc. launched a new grant program to help bring the community’s big ideas to provide unique, accessible and creative programming to life in the 2024 event season. It’s an exciting opportunity for event organizers, creatives and artists to receive support to facilitate a community event in the heart of Downtown.
When future UnderCurrent events are chosen and scheduled, they will be posted here.

Capital Crossroads & Discovery SIDs
Get ready for Halloween with this alternative art and music festival. Take in music performances across three stages, roaming entertainment, and more surprises to celebrate the diverse artistic community of Columbus. Produced by Capital CrossRoads Special Improvement District with support from the City of Columbus’ Open Streets initiative.

Hit the streets for a one-night-only outdoor Downtown Silent Disco! We’ll be spinning 90s and 2000s hits, girl pop chart-toppers, and a smooth mix of hip-hop, R&B and Bollywood party beats. Choose your own channel and dance to the beat in the middle of the street! Plus, enjoy free snacks and grab a DORA beverage from a nearby participating restaurant.
