9-11 Bell Toll

Join us as we come together to honor the lives of every first responder who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

At 8:46am, the time the first plane hit the World Trade Center, we will begin to toll the historic bell at the Central Ohio Fire Museum. A solemn tribute to the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and all emergency personnel who lost their lives in service to others that day. This is a day of remembrance, reflection, and fellowship. We welcome all members of the community to stand with us in honoring these heroes.

Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors

The National Veterans Memorial and Museum (NVMM) will host Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors, a collection of original paintings by former President George W. Bush. The exhibition opens to the public on August 8, 2026.

The exhibition features more than 60 portraits of post-9/11 service members and Veterans, each one hand painted by President Bush and paired with a personal story of service, sacrifice, and resilience written by the former president.

The NVMM is open Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Gay & High Gallery Night

Join us at Gay & High Streets in Downtown Columbus to view special exhibitions by all six Gay & High Art Galleries.

We will be highlighting new work by ceramic artist Elizabeth Wells. Join us from 5-8pm to meet the artist.

Summer Music Series: The Lawn at High Water Alley

Join us this summer on the back lawn for live music, yard games, and cocktails from Little West Poutine on Franklinton Fridays at this FREE event!

Future Icons: A Choreographic Project

Check out this mixed-rep ballet at BalletMet’s newest show. Mixed-rep ballets are several unrelated short ballets with intermissions, similar to a collection of short stories. Each of the three choreographers, selected through a competitive international process, will travel to Columbus and create new works on BalletMet’s extraordinary company of dancers. The result is an evening of visionary world premieres offering audiences an unfiltered look at where ballet is headed.
