Crew game pro tip: Take the Scioto and Olentangy trails directly to the stadium!

For reference: it takes just 10 minutes to get from the Town & Front CoGo station to the stadium. Here’s how to do it:

➡️ Get a FREE annual CoGo membership by going to CoGoBikeshare.com and enter code DTOWNCOLUMBUS at checkout (free 45 min rides + e-bike discounts)
➡️Find the nearest CoGo station (tip if you’re further south than Nationwide: there’s a station right at Main & Civic Center on the Scioto Mile, plus Town & Front and the south end of Columbus Commons on Rich St)
➡️ Scan the bike’s QR code and get riding
➡️Take the Lower Scioto Greenway trail up to Confluence Park, then cross the street to the Olentangy Trail
➡️Ride just a little further and you’ll find the Crew smokestack and the Nationwide Blvd connector
➡️You made it!

Even if you own a bike, CoGo bikes are a super convenient way to get from A to B (you can even consider parking and riding). You can take your own bike, too, and lock up at the public bike racks at the stadium.

A new venue is coming Downtown — and it’s more epic than you could imagine. The Kee is transforming a historical warehouse in the Warehouse District into 33,000 square feet of entertainment including a bar, cafe, giant games, concerts, arcades, outdoor fire pits and more — all under one roof.

We took a tour on 3/31 with Event Manager @cassieyoung614 and got the scoop on the ever-evolving space ⬇️

🧱It will feature a daytime café (that turns into a bar at night) with options including smoothies and food from @freedomalacart, an arcade, FREE giant games (including Jenga, ping pong and chess), local art for sale, shuffleboard, outdoor fire pits, and a 700-person event venue.
🧱They can host a huge variety of events in their multitude of spaces including weddings, concerts, theatre shows, corporate events, and networking round tables (now booking 😉)
🧱The Kee’s name is two-faceted: The building is located right by McKee Alley, and the owners also see the venue as a “Kee” to livening up the district.
🧱The space will be a constantly-activated hub of activity, with the all-day café set to open at 7 am and the event space open til midnight
🧱The Kee is located just steps away from Jackie O’s (opening May 5), Pins Mechanical and Wolf’s Ridge Brewing, making it the perfect starting place or stop on your evening out.

THE CROISSANT TAKING COLUMBUS BY STORM 🥐

Pastry chef @aaronmclouse is the baker, artist, and ✨genius✨ behind the glorious new pastry creations at @theparableparable. With their recent pastry program addition, they’ve added goodies like these stunning croissants, brioche cinnamon rolls, and crème brûlée cookies that are perfectly paired with the elevated drink menu they’re known for. We got to try the newest croissant flavor, banana cream pie, and are still searching for words to describe how delicious it was. Seriously, it’s a must-try.

Also — convinced that eating an @aaronmclouse pastry without taking a pic is impossible. Go see for yourself.

Tutankhamun: His Tomb and His Treasures — opens TOMORROW (3/18) at COSI! This world-class traveling exhibit is bringing an immersive, comprehensive experience for all ages to the #1 Science Museum in the Nation! 🧬

The details:
🔑 According to COSI, this exhibit is one of the most accurate and comprehensive experiences of King Tut’s tomb in the world, offering an immersive look into each aspect of the original discovery 100 years ago.
🔑The exhibit offers insight into Ancient Egyptian culture, history and art that will engage audiences of all ages.
🔑Bring headphones if you can! An audio tour is included in the exhibit, adding another level to the immersive experience.
🔑To respect cultural significance and the sensitive and fragile nature of original artifacts, contents of the tomb are exact, authentic replicas reproduced down to the smallest detail — designed by a team of artists, historians and researchers from around the world.

You’re invited to lunch at Columbus Downtown High School every Tuesday and Thursday — and this isn’t the school lunch you remember. Meals include paninis, chicken sandwiches, fried Brussels sprouts, seasoned fries and more — and they are DELICIOUS (and affordable, with meals ranging from $5 to $9)🍽

➡️As part of their culinary arts curriculum, students learn culinary skills — from cooking to food safety — through real experience in the café.
➡️Over 100 students and 3 teachers are part of the program!
➡️Visiting provides students with hands-on experience serving the public.

DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT UPDATE🧱

The PNC Building (155 E Broad St) has been getting major updates that will bring a restaurant, garden, public park and more Downtown🌳

The details:

🏢Previously office space only, the building is being transformed into a mixed-use building called the Preston Centre.

🏢The renovation will include an underground Cameron Mitchell restaurant with a connected garden element that will be open to the public including water elements (check out the pond being installed).

🏢Inspired by New York’s Highline park, the building will also include an above-ground catwalk with a public garden.

🏢Once renovated, the building will include 105 residential units and 170,000 SF of office space. Ground-floor retail will also be part of the building.

🏢The project is set to be completed this summer. The restaurant is set to open shortly after.

This building is just one of the many projects developer and Downtown champion Jeff Edwards is currently working on — stay tuned for more big projects that will shift the Downtown landscape.

🔸Schokko Cafe’s got coffee and curated cuisine in a contemporary and casual setting, nestled right inside @columbusmuseum!
🔸The cafe is open to the public, no museum admission needed.
🔸They offer breakfast and lunch each day the museum is open, and are open til 9 pm on Thursdays!
🔸Schokko overlooks the museum’s beautiful sculpture garden and is open for outdoor dining.
🔸Everything we tried was so delicious, and the staff is beyond friendly
🔸Follow them to stay updated on BAM Thursdays (music, libations and more) happening this summer in the sculpture garden!

🔸Tip: Schokko is participating in LunchBucks, and @columbusmuseum just so happens to be a pickup spot 😉
