Coffee Shops to Try in Downtown Columbus

FoodFood

Is it too cliché to say that Downtown Columbus runs on coffee? The phrase may be overused, but the sentiment is true. Whether you need a place to get your jolt and bolt, a cozy spot to sip and work, or a place to convene a morning meeting, there’s a coffee shop for every occasion in Downtown Columbus.

Bonjour Café
330 S High Street

Experience a taste of France without leaving the 614. Bonjour Café features traditional coffee favs with a French flair. Bonus, crepes made fresh on-site are a perfect complement to whatever you’re drinking and a perfect way to start the day.

Try: Coco Latte with dark chocolate and almond

Brioso
53 N High Street
329 E Long Street

Two great locations, same mean coffee. Brioso’s been fueling the city since 2001, they take coffee seriously so you can take it easy. Enjoy the bright, open design of their flagship location on High Street (plus they have a patio) or shop their extensive collection of bulk beans while you’re waiting for your coffee to brew at their Long Street coffee bar.

Try:  Honey Vanilla Latte. A twist on the traditional latte, locally sourced Ohio honey gives this drink a touch of sweet that’s hard to beat.

Café De Nook
175 S 3rd Street

A quaint, Parisian-style coffee shop tucked away inside 175 On the Park, their menu features familiar names – like Hadley’s High-Rise and Joyce’s Java – disguised as delicious drinks. Here, adding a shot of espresso is always encouraged, especially when you’re feeling a little extra. On nice days, grab your drink to go and sip it in Columbus Commons for an even more luxurious experience.

Try: The Gertrude Stein Steamer, white chocolate and raspberry will have you in love with this latte

One Line Coffee
41 S High Street

Offering three batch brews of their specialty origin coffee each morning with pour-over options throughout the day, One Line’s coffee bar inside the Huntington Center is perfect for a quick cup of strongly brewed coffee without sacrificing quality. Even better, One Line’s emphasis on responsible sourcing and sustainability will have you feeling good about your morning beverage. Added bonus – a scrumptious selection of baked goods courtesy of the OLC kitchen at their Franklinton location.

Try: One of their signature espresso beverages with single-origin chocolate

Morning Ritual at The Goat
219 S High Street

We’ve got your new Morning Ritual, courtesy of The Goat. Head straight to their walk-up window and get your cup of Joe to go, without ever having to step inside. If you prefer to peruse their selection of pastries and baked goods or even sit down for a full-on breakfast, they’ve got you covered there too.

Try: A classic Cappuccino

Roosevelt Coffeehouse
300 E Long Street

Caffeinate for a cause at the Roosevelt Coffeehouse. You can feel good about throwing back their amazing brews because each purchase supports their mission to provide clean water, fight hunger and help end human trafficking. The extra-large interior is perfect for coffee meetings or off-site work sessions.

Try: The black tonic if you enjoy a bit of bubbly or their amazing Matcha Tea if coffee isn’t your thing
