Need a book to read? Have a movie you’re dying to watch that isn’t on Netflix? Have a young one or two who enjoy story time? The Columbus Metropolitan Library offers oodles of outstanding programming for everyone in the family. This Sunday, CML kicks off its new Carnegie Author Series: Author Talk's at Main Library with a talk from award-winning author Garth Stein. Mark your calendars for this Sunday, April 9 at 2 p.m. (doors open at 1 p.m.) The talk is free, but you must register here.

Garth Stein is the author of five novels, two children’s picture books and an award-winning play. His book, The Art of Racing in the Rain, was on the New York Times Bestseller List for four years, and for good reason. If you are a dog-lover and have not read this book, you are missing out. Adults and children (a children’s version of the book is also available, called Racing in the Rain: My Life as a Dog) will fall in love with the book and it’s hero, Enzo the dog.

The series continues through the year with Dan Chaon (June 18), William Shkurti (July 20) and Kimberla Lawson Roby (August 27). All of the programs take place in the Main Library’s 2nd Floor Reading Room.
