Columbus is the fashion capital of the Midwest, ranking third in the number of resident fashion designers, just behind New York and Los Angeles. Columbus is full of fresh ideas when it comes to fashion and Downtown is playing a key role, with places to purchase everything from streetwear to formal wear…and don’t forget those artisan-crafted accessories!
Where better to celebrate and highlight Columbus’ place in the fashion world than with the original fashion hub – the Lazarus Building. The Columbus Downtown Development Corporation has collaborated with the Columbus Fashion Council to highlight local designers through a curated window display right on High Street.
From early street-level haberdasheries to the icon of the 1980’s, City Center mall, Downtown Columbus has a history of being a hub of fashion and style. As a way for the past to meet the present, we’re once again highlighting the community’s talent and role in fashion by celebrating Columbus fashion designers in a dramatic window display at the Lazarus Building.
