Matt serves as Downtown Columbus, Inc.’s Chief Development Officer & General Counsel, where he is responsible for negotiating complex real estate development transactions, including brokering deals for the redevelopment of key downtown districts including Columbus Commons and the surrounding area and new development on The Peninsula. He also oversees all contracting, corporate governance and legal issues as General Counsel for the organizations. 

Prior to joining the Downtown Columbus, Inc. team in 2007, Matt held positions at American Electric Power and Porter Wright Morris and Arthur. 

Matt is a proud graduate of Notre Dame, where he received his Juris Doctor. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Mars Hill University in Business Administration.
