The Discovery District is known for its array of urban amenities in a historically rich section of Downtown. Home to beautiful green space, quaint buildings, world-class museums and two major campuses – Columbus State Community College and Columbus College of Art and Design, the District is a desirable home and destination alike for Downtown’s workers, residents, and visitors.
History buffs can visit historic homes and museums Kelton House and Thurber House. Artists and enthusiasts alike will enjoy the world-class Columbus Museum of Art, the local gallery and studio space Blockfort, and the Beeler Gallery at the Columbus College of Art and Design. See art come to life – literally – at the one-of-a-kind Topiary Park modeled after George Seurat’s “Grande Jatte” just outside of the Columbus Metropolitan Library.
Downtown Columbus Inc. is a private, non-profit development corporation with a mission to lead city-changing projects in the heart of Ohio’s capital city. Downtown Columbus Inc. was created in 2002 to implement the Downtown Strategic Plan.
