You’re invited to lunch at Columbus Downtown High School every Tuesday and Thursday — and this isn’t the school lunch you remember. Meals include paninis, chicken sandwiches, fried Brussels sprouts, seasoned fries and more — and they are DELICIOUS (and affordable, with meals ranging from $5 to $9)🍽

➡️As part of their culinary arts curriculum, students learn culinary skills — from cooking to food safety — through real experience in the café.
➡️Over 100 students and 3 teachers are part of the program!

DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT UPDATE🧱

The PNC Building (155 E Broad St) has been getting major updates that will bring a restaurant, garden, public park and more Downtown🌳

The details:

🏢Previously office space only, the building is being transformed into a mixed-use building called the Preston Centre.

🏢The renovation will include an underground Cameron Mitchell restaurant with a connected garden element that will be open to the public including water elements (check out the pond being installed).

🏢Inspired by New York’s Highline park, the building will also include an above-ground catwalk with a public garden.

🏢Once renovated, the building will include 105 residential units and 170,000 SF of office space. Ground-floor retail will also be part of the building.

🏢The project is set to be completed this summer. The restaurant is set to open shortly after.

This building is just one of the many projects developer and Downtown champion Jeff Edwards is currently working on — stay tuned for more big projects that will shift the Downtown landscape.

🔸The cafe is open to the public, no museum admission needed.

🔸Schokko overlooks the museum’s beautiful sculpture garden and is open for outdoor dining.
🔸Everything we tried was so delicious, and the staff is beyond friendly

The Merchant Building has officially broken ground at @northmarket!

➡️ The North Market parking lot is now closed to make way for Merchant Building construction. Customers can park in the Vine St garage at 45 Vine St — validated rates apply just as they did in the lot.

➡️This project calls for a 32-story(!) mixed-use tower complete with residential units, office space, hotel rooms, parking, retail space, and an 18,000 SF North Market expansion dedicated to showcasing @northmarket merchants and honoring the market’s history.

➡️”This project has always been about protecting the future of the North Market” says Executive Director Rick Harrison Wolfe.
