Juneteenth Ohio Celebration

Throughout 25+ years of celebration, Juneteenth Ohio has emerged as the enjoyable family weekend of cultural discovery, filled with a variety of events promoting cultural unity, enrichment, and ethnic diversity, “key elements that improve the relationships and quality of life among all residents throughout Ohio”.

 

Juneteenth Day Party at The Kee

We’re turning up! Join Dayskii’s Events for an all-out Juneteenth Day Party packed with good vibes, better beats, and a celebration of culture, community, and connection. Expect a DJ on deck, drinks flowing, and a dance floor ready for you and your crew.

Umoja Juneteenth Block Party 2025
Saturday, June 21, 11 am to 4:30 pm (program begins at noon)
428 E. Main Street (Between Grant Ave and Washington Ave)

This annual celebration honors the legacy of Juneteenth and celebrates Black culture, freedom, and community through live performances, food, fellowship, and resource-sharing for families and individuals of all ages. The event is free and open to the public.

The Kelton House Museum and Garden will host a special Juneteenth Event focusing on drumming and poetry to lift the spirit and soul.

Juneteenth on the Avenue
Saturday, June 21, 2025
12 pm – 6 pm

Juneteenth is celebrated annually, usually on the 19th of June to mark the date when some of the last enslaved people in the Confederacy were notified of their freedom following the Civil War.  Juneteenth on the Ave.™ is set to take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm in the heart of Bronzeville Columbus with a the city-wide, family-friendly celebration and commemoration of Freedom.

 

Juneteenth Commemoration at King Arts Complex

11 am – 3 pm

Juneteenth, now a federal holiday, celebrates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Originating in Texas, this historic day has been observed every June 19th since 1865. Join us as we honor this significant milestone in history with a day full of exciting activities.
