Columbus’ most imaginative bartending competition returns for a fourth round—Art of the Cocktail Invitational: Volume IV—and this year, the stakes (and spirits) are higher than ever.

Join us for an unforgettable evening where top local bartenders face off in a one-of-a-kind challenge: craft a cocktail inspired by a selected artwork from the Columbus Museum of Art using premium spirits from Watershed Distillery.

Each bartender will interpret a unique piece from CMA’s world-class collection and transform it into an original, art-inspired cocktail. Attendees will sip, savor, and vote for their favorites as creativity, craftsmanship, and flavor collide.

The National Veterans Memorial and Museum (NVMM) will host Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors, a collection of original paintings by former President George W. Bush. The exhibition opens to the public on August 8, 2026.

The exhibition features more than 60 portraits of post-9/11 service members and Veterans, each one hand painted by President Bush and paired with a personal story of service, sacrifice, and resilience written by the former president.

The NVMM is open Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Select Fridays this fall, chefs from across the country face off against Little West Tavern’s own OSU-inspired burger. Tickets are $30 per person and include two burgers with bottomless fries. Sip on $5 drafts from Land-Grant and cocktail samples from Middle West Spirits between rounds. Cast your vote and help crown the Campus Cookoff Champion.

Artist Commune: The Longest Community Doodle is an interactive art-making event by the trace layer play research collective that transforms Urban Arts Space into a shared surface for communal work. Wrapped entirely in paper, the space invites visitors to draw, tear, layer, and respond to prompts to create both a collective artwork and a sense of community through shared activities. The event is family-friendly and welcomes participants of all ages and artistic backgrounds to create together.

Summer nights in Columbus just got better. On top of the many festivals that call the riverfront home, Columbus Recreation and Parks, in partnership with the CAPA, Columbus Symphony and Columbus Jazz are bringing FREE outdoor concerts to the Bicentennial Park Stage on select Friday evenings with a lineup you won’t want to miss. Grab a blanket, bring the crew, and catch a world-class act under the open sky. All concerts start at 7 p.m. Food and drinks will be available starting at 6 p.m.

Join our friends from the Columbus Metropolitan Library on a walk full of history!

Guests will start their tour at the atrium in the Main Library and walk to the Ohio Statehouse. They will learn about Columbus’ downtown buildings and history before touring the Statehouse.

Statehouse staff will provide guided interior tours and librarians will present on the walk to and from the Statehouse. Water and light snacks will be provided.

Remember sunscreen, hats and sunglasses, and comfortable walking shoes. This tour involves walking outside the library. Please note that all Statehouse visitors are required to check in with security upon entry.
