A fundraiser collaboration by Columbus Fashion Academy × The Fashion Community (TFC)
Trade the bar for a beautiful, meaningful night out. In this adult-only workshop, you’ll design and sew a quilted witch hat—moody, whimsical, or classic noir—using pre-loved and deadstock textiles. Come alone or bring your partner or your BFF, connect with like-minded caring creatives, and leave with a dramatic heirloom you’ll wear for many Octobers to come.
Date & Time: Sunday, October 26, 2:00–5:00 p.m.
Location: Our new downtown studio (CCAD campus area at 122 N. Grant Ave.)
Price: $95 per person or $150 per duet · Adults only · BYOF (Bring Your Own Fabric, optional)
All proceeds support TFC’s mission.
The Afternoon Flow
2:00–2:30 p.m. — Arrive, mingle & explore
Sip, settle in, and tour the studio. Get acquainted with tools, patterns, and materials (especially if you need to choose from our dead stock of fabric). Request favorite songs for our evening playlist. Take a “before” pic for your keep-forever memory.
2:30–4:30 p.m. — Make your magic
With hands-on help from board leaders, seasoned artists, and fashion industry pros, piece and quilt your panels, assemble the cone and brim, wire and bind the edge, add lining, then personalize with trims—veil, ribbon, vintage buttons, charms, or a dramatic bow.
4:30–5:00 p.m. — Finishing Touches, Hangout & Shop with Purpose
Add final details, swap stories, and connect with new friends. Shop our private curated sustainable fashion boutique (exclusive access for participants; closed to the public).
No experience needed. Our instructors will support you as much—or as little—as you prefer.
