CDDC & Capitol South

It’s been said that there’s nothing wrong with change — as long as it’s in the right direction. And for Columbus, the right direction is where Downtown is headed right now.

Downtown is fast becoming one of the most attractive center cities in the country. Thanks to the leadership, facilitation and advocacy of Columbus Downtown Development Corporation (CDDC) and Capitol South Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation (Capitol South), many new city-changing projects have been completed, with more coming online every day.

CDDC and Capitol South are private, non-profit development corporations with a shared mission to lead city-changing projects in the heart of Ohio’s capital city. CDDC was created in 2002 to implement the Downtown Strategic Plan, while Capitol South was formed in 1974 with the mission of redeveloping the area just south of Capitol Square.

The two organizations share a single Board of Directors made up of the following senior business and institutional leaders who have a strong commitment to downtown revitalization. CDDC and Capitol South are led by Guy V. Worley, CEO/President.
