Columbus is an amazing city with unique neighborhoods and beautiful sights to see. But many only take in the wonders of Cbus while zooming by in a car or COTA bus. Here’s your chance to see things at a different speed and on two wheels. Mark your calendars for September 3 and get ready to Bike the Cbus.
This city-wide ride rolled out of the gate back in 2008, offering a self-guided group tour of Columbus’ center-ring neighborhoods. Choose the Neighborhood Routes that intrigue you. They are of varying lengths, with stops on each route hosted by local organizations where you can nab some snacks and enjoy entertainment. If you bike all the routes, you’ll get in a good 30-miler, but it’s all up to you. You can look at the routes here.
If you’d like to bike further afoot and rack up twice the miles, consider Bike the Cbus+. You’ll take on an urban Metric Century Route (62 miles) and enjoy SAG support (Support And Gear). You can check out the tentative route here.
The fun starts and ends at Elevator Brewing Company 13th Floor Taproom, 165 N. 4th Street. Online registration ends on September 2, but if you miss that deadline, you can register onsite on September 3.
Yay Bikes. Yay Cbus.
