If you lived in Minnesota or Maine, likely you wouldn’t think twice about leaving the house or office in the winter to explore your city. Sometimes though, it’s hard—really hard—especially when the skies here spit wet, icy pellets. But if you got the chance to explore some pretty incredible art and ancient culture, and then you topped it all off with some tacos and margaritas, wouldn’t it be worth it to venture out? We’re gonna make it easy for you by letting you know exactly when to show up to the Urban Arts Space during a brand new exhibit, and one person will wind up with a gift card from Condado Tacos.



Just last week the Urban Arts Space opened a new exhibit called, The Legacy of Imperial Beijing, which comes from selections from the Bliss M. and Mildred A. Wiant Collection of Chinese Art at The Ohio State University.

Over the years, the Wiants acquired a remarkable collection of more than six hundred Chinese objects that reflect intriguing aspects of China’s imperial culture and tastes of the empire. (Psst…the Wiants particulary loved musical instruments so make sure you check out this part of the exhibit.) The couple donated their collection to OSU in 1978 with the hope that the study of these objects would share aspects of Chinese culture with the university community.

There will be a special reception that is open to the public next week on January 21, 5-7 p.m., but you don’t have to wait until then to explore the exhibition. Heck, you can meet some friends after work this week, and then head over to Condado Tacos for some margs.
