If you love to dine out, then Downtown Columbus has a holiday gift for you. Three new, delicious locations have opened in the last few weeks, giving diners even more outstanding options than ever.
Are you a fan of Harvest Pizza, Curio and Sycamore? You won’t want to miss Chris Crader’s newest location, Salt & Pine. It is a bit of a departure from his other locations, with a much larger dining room and a more expansive menu. The setting is gorgeous, with wood, steel, glass and concrete creating a modern feel. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch or (and?) dinner, as well as brunch on the weekend. The menus are creative, designed with the philosophy to use “the best ingredients from the best sources.” And if you want to raise your spirits, you can enjoy a glass from their large wine selection, signature cocktails or a number of beers on tap. Salt & Pine is located at 41 South High Street #3400 (614.221.0900).
Mikey’s Late Night Slice has filled many a rumbling belly in the the late night hours. Now Mikey Sorboro has opened his first full-service pizza restaurant for fans of his food truck and pop-up locations. In addition to their delicious by-the-slice pizza, they offer an expanded menu with salads, appetizers and whole-pie options. They also have a bar area with table service, 10 brews on tap and designer cocktails. Mikey's Late Night Slice is located at 268 S. Fourth Street (614.737.3801).
Lomonico’s of Pickerington is opening a second location downtown, bringing their soups, salads, sandwiches, wood-fired pizza and more to a wider audience. Their location on Gay Street near Grant (340 E. Gay Street) offers a boutique, urban feel, including garage doors that will open to the patio in the warmer months. You can enjoy lunch or dinner, as well as a nice bar space.
