The Columbus Historical Society presents this riveting lecture from PhD candidate Julie M. Powell about the contribution of World War I veterans to modern medicine for today’s military men and women. Powell will take you on a journey back to the early 20th century, sharing how the U.S. approached veteran rehabilitation and re-education – and it may not be what you think. It’s opening day for one of Columbus’ longest-running farmers’ markets. Since 1991, local farmers and artisans have set up shop in the heart of Downtown, sharing their bounty of fruits, veggies, baked goods, flowers, coffee, soaps, and more. Shop every Tuesday and Friday from May to October.

Davidson Theater at the Riffe Center, 77 S High St
If you’ve never seen unrelated, short stories in ballet form (aka “mixed rep”), this is the one to see. Featuring the favorite choreography of BalletMet’s own Artistic Director Edwaard Liang, each dance has a unique vibe and intensity. Liang is a former New York City Ballet dancer and Emmy® Award winner who drew inspiration for some of this work from the most unlikely of places – a snow globe from Russia.
