Columbus Clippers @ Home

CAPA Summer Movie Series: Back to the Future

Wed-Thu, June 19-20 | 7:30 pm
Ohio Theatre, 39 E State St

It’s not summer in Columbus without this, the 50th of the longest-running classic film series in America. Travel back to the 1950s with Marty McFly and the highest grossing film of 1985, Back to the Future. Michael J. Fox stars in this sci-fi comedy that’s been called “a rousing time-travel adventure with an unforgettable spirit.” Indeed, it is. And is again.

 

Popcorn Pops: Dance Party + Free Movie Night

It doesn’t get any family-friendlier than this. Popcorn, face painting, inflatables, and more starting at 5:30 pm. Next, at 7:00 pm is a free concert performance from the Columbus Symphony that will have the littles dancing on the lawn. Then, stick around ‘til dusk for a free showing of Mary Poppins Returns.

 

Columbus Food & Wine Festival

Fri-Sat, June 21-22 | 11:00 am
Battelle Riverfront Park, 25 Marconi Blvd

Enjoy free admission to this 2nd annual event featuring live culinary demonstrations from Columbus’ top restaurants along with tastings from top wineries from around the nation. Friday at 8 pm The Deal Breakers play; Saturday at 8 pm, its MojoFlo to bring it on home. Kids, pets, and lawn chairs permitted.

 

Arena League Football (AFL): Columbus Destroyers vs Philadelphia Soul

Picnic with the Pops: The Music of Pink Floyd

Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion in the Columbus Commons, 160 S High St

Singer-guitarist Randy Jackson and a full rock band pay tribute to the impassioned and irreverent sounds of Pink Floyd with an impressive outdoor concert. Presented by the Columbus Symphony, the evening features many of the band’s megahits, including Comfortably Numb and Money, and selections from the acclaimed album, The Wall.

 

Outlaw Music Festival

Sunday, June 23 | 2:30 pm
Nationwide Arena, 200 W Nationwide Blvd

This is North America’s biggest touring music festival and it’s making a leg one stop in Downtown Columbus this week. With an star lineup, you’ll see musical performances from Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Avett Brothers, and more. This is an unforgettable concert experience featuring craft beer, local food, and local artisan crafts, too.
