Dang, it’s October. When did that happen? Summer’s gone, daylight hours are shrinking. Will you survive the winter? It’s a scary proposition. Scary…Halloween… Hey, that means it’s also time for HighBall Halloween. Woot, woot. This nationally recognized celebration is right around the corner, and you only have a short time to land presale tickets. We thought you might like some scoop about the upcoming partay that our friends in the Short North throw.
First, let’s get the ticket thing squared away. If you order tickets early (you have until October 14), you save some cold hard cash, which will free up some bills for more drinks. If you spring for the VIP package, that includes drink tickets. For those who can’t plan quite that far ahead, advance-sale tickets are available until October 20. After that, you’ll need to buy tickets at the gate.
But wait, we’ve made the assumption that you already know all the scoop on the soiree? There’s a good chance that you have at least heard of the event, but just in case you’ve been living in the shadows, here’s what you can expect.
HighBall Halloween is the nation’s most elaborate costume party. The event bridges runway style with the culture of the Short North Art District. Pretty fitting, given the fact that good old CBUS is one of the Top Three Fashion Centers in the country. HighBall Halloween has grown over the years to a two-night event, which includes the Battelle Costume Couture Fashion Show as well as a street party, live art, electrifying stage performances and a public costume contest. At HighBall Halloween, you are what you wear. Make sure you wear it well.
