Eat! Eat! Eat! It’s a great week for eatin’ in the city, with three food-centric events in the offing (one is actually ongoing; so, yea). From Dine Originals Week to pop-up yum, to dining with a drag queen, you can find some foodie fun.
Dine Originals Restaurant Week is back, offering the perfect opportunity to explore the local restaurant scene. Each of the 36 participating Dine Originals restaurants will serve special prix-fixe menus from March 20 - March 26. Most of the special menus feature three courses—an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. Depending on the restaurant, the cost varies from $15 - $25 to $30 - $40.
Of course, we hope you will consider trying some downtown locations. In the $15 - $25 price category, consider Columbus Brewing Company or Milestone 229. While in the $30 - $40 category, you can try Due Amici and Elevator Brewery & Draught Haus (or very nearby Black Creek Bistro). Menus for these spots are available here. Other downtown spots with menus pending include Dirty Franks Hot Dog Palace and Tip Top Kitchen & Cocktails.
On March 24, head over to Hills Market Downtown for Cooking with Queens: Reba’s Tex-Mex Kitchen. From 6 - 8 p.m., Reba (portrayed by Panzie Bloom) will sing some fan favorites and cook up some Tex-Mex treats. For just $10, you get a seat at the table plus chips & salsa and some sweet tea. Additional food and beverages are available for purchase.
Hills Market is also offering Pop-Up Restaurants on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Tuesday is Hot Diggity Dog, where you can nab an all-Ohio beef quarter pound hot dog, served with a dill spear and Gold N Krisp potato chips, all for just $4.99. Thursdays feature Smash Burger Pop-Up, where $4.99 will get you two all-beef patties mashed together with your choice of cheese and pickles and topped with lettuce, tomato and onion, plus a side of Gold N Krisp potato chips.
