Vendor Boost

Pearl Market

Downtown Columbus

Pearl Market's enthusiastic energy was tangible last week as the weather remained gorgeous, and more customers swarmed into the alleys. As the heart of summer approaches, expect even more farmers and merchants showing up to sell seasonal produce and handcrafted goods.

In the coming weeks snatch up some strawberries before their short growing season comes to an end. Add these sweet and juicy berries to salads for a summer zing, or use them in sumptuous desserts. Although it might be swimsuit season, don't miss out on any baked goods using these delectable berries. Give the strawberry shortcake recipe below a try.

Friday, Pearl Market spilled onto Broad and Gay streets. This sprawl is only the first sign of the summer swell coming soon so don't forget to turn the corner at Gay and Broad. Our vendors promise to deliver all kinds of sweet treats and handcrafted items.

In addition to the increased number of vendors, two local bands spiced up the Market from their tent at the intersection of Pearl and Lynn Alleys. Shoppers on Tuesday heard the return of Buckles and Boots and Friday customers welcomed Me and Lil' Brother back to the Market. Rock and acoustic vibes radiated from these top-notch performers and put a little extra pep in everyone's step.

New businesses including Tastefully Simple, Everdry Waterproofing and Urban Spreads join the fold this week, so stop by their tents and check out what they have to offer.
