Evenings with Authors begin the fall season on September 11. And, you’ll get the chance to share a meal with a couple of these artists. First, get out your calendar. You won’t want to miss this line up.
Stephen Markley launches the Fall 2018 Evenings with Authors series with his debut novel, Ohio. Markley is a screenwriter, journalist and graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. In Ohio, a generation has come of age knowing only war, recession, political gridlock, racial hostility, and fear of environmental problems. Foreclosures, Walmarts and opiates riddle the land. Set in the fictional northeast Ohio community of New Canaan, Ohio takes place one night in 2015. Four former classmates return to their hometown, all haunted by the ghosts of their shared histories.
