The last few weeks of sunshine cleared our minds of the rocky start of summer, whew. However, just when the sunshine seems like it might linger, our schedules get busy with back-to-school and work to-do lists. No fair, but it’s no reason to let go of all your leisure time.



What better way to kick back and enjoy the last bits of summer than to grab some great food truck nosh, stretch out on a blanket and watch a classic movie? This Friday you can do it all – right downtown. It’s all free, AND we have a set of Gateway Film Center movie tickets to give away.

Discovery Special Improvement District partners with Gateway Film Center, Friends of Topiary Park and Columbus Metropolitan Library to bring you Topiary Park Summer Movie Series. This Friday evening, Diana Ross and Michael Jackson will dance through Topiary Park as they bring The Wiz to life on the big screen.

Pack a picnic or grab a tasty bite from the Nikos Greek food truck, and don’t forget to grab a box of free popcorn (thanks, Gateway) before you spread your blanket out under the stars.
