Rally in the Alley 2Do you remember the Rally in the Alley? If you are under 45, you probably never got to take in the once-iconic summer event that brought revelers to the Pearl and Lynn alleys for drinks, music and fun each summer from 1978 - 1990. The good news for present-day revelers looking for some summer fun? The Rally is back.

CivitasNow, a local marketing firm, is behind the effort to bring back this urban celebration. On Thursday, July 14 and August 18, from 4 - 7 p.m., head to Pearl and Lynn alleys for the Rally in the Alley redux. Enjoy live music, local beer, good friends and good fun. Beer partners for the events include Rhinegeist, Land-Grant Brewing Company, North High Brewing and Wolf’s Ridge Brewing. Beer tokens are $5 with proceeds benefitting CD102.5 For The Kids. Yes, drinking beer makes you virtuous.

All this partying will likely make your tummy rumble. Don’t worry; you won’t leave empty-stomached. You can pick up some grub from Yabo’s Taco’s and Paddy Wagon Food.

For the slightly more mature among you, come relive your glorious youth. For all you others, ask your parents - Rally in the Alley is the place to be.
