The chill-inducing spring passed over the city, and a sunny summer draws close. The lively and eclectic farmers' and merchants' market located in Lynn and Pearl alleys will open tomorrow with an array of delicious food and handmade goods for purchase.
"The Market gives people a momentary escape from the office," says Pearl Market Manager Adam Schroeder. "We are excited to kick things off this Tuesday. We hope everyone can join us at noon for a big announcement."
Live entertainment sponsored by the Greater Columbus Arts Council creates an enthusiastic and welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. Music greets your ears while tantalizing aromas tease your nose at Pearl Market, open Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
"Our merchants offer everything from hot lunches, ice cream and jewelry, to soap, leather gift items and hot sauce," says Schroeder. With a promising crop of new and returning vendors, Pearl Market offers a little something for everyone.
Farmers only bring and sell the freshest crops grown on their own farm - usually picked right before coming to the Market. Pearl Market gives you a way to incorporate nature into your palette and recipes.
A grant by Puffin Foundation West provides a one-to-one matching program for Ohio Direction card users to make the freshest food more accessible to food insecure individuals.
With the hope for warm and sunny market days, Pearl Market encourages shoppers to step out of their daily work routine and enjoy a slice of community spirit and support local farmers and merchants by making it a lunch destination.
