Schneider Downs has maintained a presence in downtown Columbus for more than 40 years.
The accounting, tax and business advisory firm is one of the 60 largest accounting firms in the nation with a global reach, but prides itself on working with organizations of all sizes.
Downtown Columbus provides the ability for Schneider Downs to service its clients from a central location while being a pillar in the business community.
“Downtown Columbus offers many advantages that other cities cannot, including its modern infrastructure, reasonable living and transportation costs, and safe environment. But, downtown Columbus’ greatest appeal is its vibrancy,” said Mike Renzelman, Schneider Downs Shareholder.
“Nearly 10,000 residents live downtown, and nearly half of them are Millennials. Downtown Columbus offers a variety of restaurants, bars and stores for this active group,” Renzelman said. “Adding to the vitality of downtown Columbus are the higher education and cultural institutions located within walking distance. In addition, downtown Columbus offers networking, social and arts-related events throughout the year for people of all ages and interests. This is attractive for our employees, clients and prospects.”
Last year Schneider Downs relocated its offices to Capitol Square, reaffirming its commitment to downtown. Advantages that Renzelman cited include Capital Crossroads’ Clean and Safe program and beautification efforts such as wayfinding signs and the Capitol Square planters. Nearing their first anniversary in their new space, Schneider Downs associates are looking forward to the arrival of spring and the exciting programming at Columbus Commons.
