Columbus is blessed to have one of the very best zoos in the country (plus splashy-splashy fun at Zoombezi Bay). If you live closer to downtown than to Delaware County, COTA can help you hang with Jack Hannah’s menagerie, and even save some cash to boot.
COTA’s Zoo Bus runs from Downtown Columbus to the Zoo and Zoombezi Bay on weekends and holidays, now through September 7 and on weekdays from June 1 through September 4. COTA’s Line 98 stops at the Ohio Statehouse, Broad and High, Gay and High, Spring and Wall, Spring and Marconi, and Griggs Dam Park & Ride.
For just $2 per person each way, you can relax in route to the zoo, saving money on gas and avoiding parking fees. And if that wasn’t fabulous enough, if you ask your bus operator for a transfer/coupon, you will receive half-off your regular Columbus Zoo admission or $4 off your Zoombezi Bay admission on the day of your ride. What a deal.
There are five departure times from downtown and five returning from the zoo. You can click here to check out the full bus schedule and for more information. Plan your trip now; it will be zoo-tastic.
