You know, you can find more than red velvet cupcakes at Red Velvet Café. Depending on the day you might find buckeye cupcakes or s’mores cupcakes or hazelnut crunch or triple chocolate, too. Oh wait. We’ve heard on good authority that you can also get amazing sandwiches as well. We confess, though; we can’t get past the cupcakes (and amazing coffee). Owner Krizzia Yanga graduated from OSU and takes her buckeye roots as seriously as she does her cupcakes, which are as beautiful as they are delicious.

“I grew up in Central Ohio and graduated from THE Ohio State University. My heart has always been in Columbus, and it only felt right to open the cafe Downtown. Having grown up nearby, it's been amazing to see how much Columbus has grown and developed,” said Krizzia. “Being Downtown and experiencing the energy of the city has been really awesome so far!” 

And all the original creations promise to satisfy any sweet tooth. Couple that with a single-origin pour over coffee, and you won’t care that Friday is still days away.

On the every-day menu, triple chocolate, red velvet and salted caramel cupcakes promise to delight, and other flavors rotate onto the menu. (Pssst…you can also request flavors in advance. In case for instance, you’re craving the turtle cupcake filled with homemade caramel and dipped in chocolate ganache.)
