It’s easy to fill your shopping bag at Pearl Market now that it’s peak season. Located in the center of Downtown—at the Ohio Statehouse— Pearl Market shoppers now enjoy everything from corn and tomatoes to peaches and berries. Also, you’ll want to save some room for some sweet treats and maybe a pretty bauble or two. Because summer is here, we’ll give one lucky winner a sweet treat on us.
If you’re new to the market, we moved over to the Ohio Statehouse during renovations of the Rhodes Office Tower. But don’t worry, shopping is easy, peasy. Load up on corn, tomatoes, beets, peaches, berries and so much more. As summer goes, you’ll find new and different items. Once you fill your Pearl Market shopping bag with healthy fruits and veggies, leave some room. Bakers provide a huge variety of cookies, cakes and bread. (You might even find some baked treats for your friend, Fido, too.)
Also, shoppers can find specialty clothes, skin care products and jewelry. So, check it all out. You might just nab the perfect ensemble for your next summer bar-b-que. Oh, and you’ll find meat for that bar-b-que, too. That’s what we call one-stop shopping.
And, if you want to make believe you’re at the fair, stop by Midway Concessions for a lemon shake-up and a bag of kettle corn. But we warn you. Both are addictive.
Will you make a special trip Downtown or take a break from your office? Either way, we’ve got you covered. Stroll around, talk to the farmers and merchants and take home a bounty of summer favorites. Hurry though. Pearl Market closes shop in the Fall.
Before you head out this week, tell us favorite Pearl Market treat. Leave a comment on the Downtown Columbus Facebook page. We’ll give one lucky person $10 in Pearl Market shopping tokens. They spend just like cash. So, you’ll be good to go.
Buy fresh, buy local. Happy shopping!
