Spring has come to Columbus. We know this because one day it’s sunny and 70 degrees, and the next we see some dreaded snow flurries. But before the summer sun burns, it’s time to get our gardens in order. In the Discovery District, that means getting Topiary Park in top shape. Topiary Park is a hidden gem in downtown, a landscape of Seurat’s painting of a landscape.
On Saturday, March 26 from 9 a.m. to noon, Friends of Topiary Park invites you to help them in that effort during Mulch Madness. Whether you are an experienced gardener or an utter novice, you can help out. Workday assignments will include mulching, raking and general lawn clean-up. Supplies will be provided, though if you have your own work gloves, bring them along. It’s a great opportunity to be engaged in your community (plus you’ll get some light breakfast).
