It’s more than a cute play on a famous name with a cute tag line (When dames bond, dames thrive). Dames Bond, an organization that connects women in business to consumers and resources, has been recognized by Forbes Magazine as a “top 10 career site for women.” The goal of the organization is to support women entrepreneurs and business owners as they find success. To that end, Dames Bond will hold Prosper!, its second annual conference on February 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Shadowbox Live.
Prosper! Will give women at all levels of business ownership the opportunity to engage, network, develop strategies, and discover how to work together to achieve their goals. By bringing women together to share their expertise through creative brainstorming, Dames Bond founder Mary B. Relotto explains “Prosper! will help women move toward economic stability.”
The day features presentations from Kristyn Hartman, 10TV anchor; Suzanne Roberts of Women Generating as keynote speaker; Ruth Milligan of TEDx Columbus; Kacey Brankamp of Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District; Robbie Banks of Experience Columbus and more. Elizabeth Lessner, founder and owner of the Columbus Food League, will be honored as the Grand Dame for her contributions to the Columbus community. And her husband, Harold LaRue, will be recognized with the Pillar Award which is given to a life partner, business partner or friend who has supported the efforts of the Grand Dame.
During the afternoon, attendees will gather in groups to share advice, support, directions and more. The fee for the day is $109 which includes a special performance by Shadowbox and lunch. Proceeds benefit the Women’s Small Business Accelerator, a nonprofit organization supporting women entrepreneurs. Seating is limited to 200, and registration is now open.
