Lace up your walking shoes and take in the city sites. Columbus Public Health is partnering with Columbus Landmarks Foundation for the Columbus Art Walk series. These hour-long tours of a wide range of neighborhoods around the city (several downtown) are guided by expert historians who share the low down on the art, history and architecture of the featured neighborhood. You’ll learn more about this city we love and get some exercise to boot.
The tours will be held on Mondays at 7 p .m. through October 28 (except for September 2). You don’t need to register in advance; just show up ready to stroll. Each tour will last about one hour. For a complete listing of tour locations (including the meeting spot for each tour), visit Columbus Landmarks website.
There are a number of downtown spots to check out: Arena District Art Walk (July 8); Discovery District Art Walk (July 15); Capitol Square Art Walk (July 22); Near East Art Walk (August 19); River South Art Walk (August 26); Short North Art Walk (September 16); Arena District Art Walk (September 30); Capitol Square Art Walk (October 7); River South Art Walk (October 14); Discovery District Art Walk (October 21); and Near East Art Walk (October 28).
