TGIF takes on even more urgency come the summer months. Our eyes drift even earlier toward the door; the lure of the weekend tugging a bit stronger than it might during the winter. If you need a little shove to get you through your Friday afternoon, consider spending your lunch hour at the Ohio Statehouse, enjoying Summer Fridays at the Statehouse, a series of lunch-time performing arts events that won't cost you a sunburn-red cent.
Grab your bag lunch, pick something up across the street at Pearl Market or enjoy a nosh from the food cart of the week; then sit back and take in the week's entertainment on the West Plaza of the Ohio Statehouse. Each week brings a new performing arts group, from classic rock to dance, from bluegrass to opera. The shows run from noon to 1 p.m.
You'll get just the push you need to get through your Friday afternoon and into the long-awaited weekend.
