Shop and stroll downtown by the light of the moon. Downtown? You bet. The peeps along Gay Street plan to transform the already cool area into a nighttime urban bazaar called the Gay Street Moonlight Market.
Buzz has been happening on Gay Street for quite a while, and the Moonlight Market is going to bump it up to the next level. The Gay Street Moonlight Market kicks off on Saturday, April 13 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., and will occur the second Saturday of every month, April through September. The brick and mortar businesses between and around High and Third streets will stay open late and welcome an eclectic assortment of sidewalk vendors offering everything from clothing to baked goods. Indy retailers include places like V.V. Books, Ghetto Vintage and Jackpot Treats, and don’t forget the great food and drinks already found along Gay Street.
Think festive lights, rockin’ entertainment, great food and drinks, and more-than-enough retail therapy. Think Gay Street Moonlight Market.
For those interested in becoming a vendor, visit their website for more information. For the rest of you, save the dates now, and leave a comment about what you’d like to see in the nighttime market. See you there.
