The advent of COGO Columbus demonstrates yet again that for folks in Columbus, it’s hip to hit the road on two wheels. This Friday, July 12, Mayor Michael B. Coleman and other local dignitaries join fellow cycling enthusiasts for an evening ride celebrating cycling in Columbus. The Mayor’s Twilight Ride promotes the benefits of active living while raising funds to help purchase bikes and helmets for children in need and to support bicycle safety initiatives.

The ride kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at COSI. Riders can choose from a 10-mile or 25-mile route. You’ll pedal through some of the city’s most beautiful sites: downtown, The Scioto Mile, beautiful bridges, Olde Towne East, Franklinton, the Short North, the University District and Bexley (now a designated arboretum). When riders return from their adventure, they can enjoy the free Rhythm on the River concert featuring Yumbambe, plus food and beverages (including a free slice of pizza yumminess from the good folks at Donato’s).

And you can join in all this good fun for just $25. To register, click here. And get rollin’.
