Young, hip and not afraid to jump for the stars.
Carolyn Maloney is exactly what Downtown craves. Welcome 39 BeLow FroYo, a self-serve frozen yogurt shop with an adult and urban feel that will soon open at 39 E. Gay Street. Healthy, fresh and fast will surround a wide variety of sugar-free, gluten-free, lactose-free, tart, traditional and seasonal flavors of frozen yogurt. All flavors will be kosher, and only the freshest and highest quality toppings will make the grade.
After graduating from OSU, this Toledo transplant couldn’t imagine leaving Cbus, and she landed a good job, but something was still missing, and she began to dream of opening her own business.
“I knew I belonged in a position that would allow me the opportunity to be surrounded by people. I have wanted to open this shop for a long time now,” said Carolyn. “I am passionate about people, living a healthy lifestyle, the downtown community, and, well, desserts. I can't imagine a better way to blend all those things together.”
Carolyn lives downtown, just a quick walk or short bus ride away from her soon-to-be shop and is looking forward to being part of the cool things happening downtown.
“Downtown Columbus is alive and on its way to becoming something truly spectacular,” said Carolyn. “I want to be a part of that, and 39 BeLow FroYo is a perfect fit with the restaurants, shops, and night-life of the Gay St. Neighborhood.”
Look for 39 BeLow FroYo to open toward the end of June. Carolyn will begin offering a light and healthy breakfast to-go from 8 to 10 a.m. with a limited menu including breakfast shakes and cold (not frozen) yogurt, with choice of granola and fresh fruit. Frozen yogurt will crank from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.
