Winter was long, very long winded. So, as the daffodils pop, we continue to look for ways to get out and about to enjoy spring - right downtown. Did you know that the people at the Downtown Y know how to party? This year, the Downtown YMCA celebrates 90 years, and they want to party with you. You can nosh on some hors d'oeuvres and swill a drink at the cash bar on Friday, May 2, 5 - 7 p.m.

Take a tour of the historic building, hang with other downtowners, and simply enjoy the fact that you aren't bundled up in a parka, two pairs of gloves and three scarves. Woo hoo, party on.

While you sip your cocktail and listen to the guest speaker, Rob Maloney, VP of Nationwide Realty Investors, check out the workout facilities. You may find that the Y offers just the midday break your body needs. (Psst... the daily spin classes are kick-butt).
