It is a quintessential part of the holiday season, the song that makes us long for snowflakes in December. Irving Berlin’s White Christmas captures the wonder and nostalgia we feel each year as we yearn for Christmases “like those I used to know.”
While Irving Berlin wrote the song for the 1942 movie musical Holiday Inn (it won the Best Song of the Year Academy Award that year), it was also featured in Blue Skies and, of course, is the title song of the classic film White Christmas. Starring the ever-smooth Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye, White Christmas tells the story of two Broadway partners on vacation staging a show and finding romance at a beautiful Vermont inn.
This year, you can see the movie come to life on the stage with a brand new musical from Broadway in Columbus. Start a magical holiday season with dancing, laughter and some of the greatest songs ever written.
