You might have begun your week filled with icepacks soothing sore muscles after the Cap City Half Marathon or from a weekend of yard work, but everyone deserves a little down time.
Downtown Live Summer Concerts kick off on June 7 at Columbus Commons. The Matt Munhall Band opens, and the ever-favorite Menus promise to dress up the summer like only they can.
We’ve moved the concerts to the other end of the park to take full advantage of the brand new Bicentennial Pavilion so bring a blanket and stretch out on the lawn. No worries about dinner either. Burgers, Dogs and Fries will be open flipping all kinds of yummilicious goodies on the grill. Mojo Lounge and DeNovo Bistro & Bar are also right across the street, and rumor has it there might be a food truck or two.
We bumped back the schedule this year (6:30 to 10 p.m.) so you’ll have time to make a quick presto-chango before the show if you want. No pressure though, the only one we expect to see in costume on opening night is Menus’ lead singer Tim. Check out those shorts.
