It’s five o’clock somewhere, right? Well in Downtown Columbus, it doesn’t have to be quitting time in order to have fun. Take our delicious downtown restaurants, add in their exceptional happy hours and you’ve got a recipe for a tremendous time.

Specials change, and you’d be reading for days if we tried to print a full list. But we’ve got some ideas to get you started, and don’t forget to share your favorites.

The Elevator offers draft beers and well drinks for three bucks and also select appetizers for five during their happy hour. Plantain Café boasts two-dollar tacos and half-priced beers to wash them down. Find two-for-one deals for pizza and other bar menu items at Due Amici’s happy hour. Many specials run between 4-7 p.m., and you can find links to lots of downtown digs here.

Along with great specials, many downtown restaurants have open patios and outdoor seating available, so take the opportunity to enjoy some beautiful weather with your meal. Popular spots like Jury Room, Lexi’s, Tip Top Cocktails, Plantain Café and J. Gumbo’s have patios or you can try one of the new kids on the block like Milestone 229, de-Novo, Dempsey’s or Sidebar 122.
