You survived Black Friday and supported local entrepreneurs on Small Business Saturday. Now, mark your calendars for Saturday, December 8 for the Discovery District Holiday ShopAround.

Bring the family and climb aboard one of the two trolleys that will run continuously from 1 – 7 p.m. Parking will be easy-breezy – just pull into the State Auto parking lot on Broad Street and hop on the trolley. This might just be the beginning of a brand new holiday tradition filled with shopping, lots of shopping, festive lights, historic sites, performing arts and much, much more. Best yet, the trolley drops you off exactly where you need to be.

From 1 – 4 p.m. Treasures of Town includes historic homes tours, but don’t forget to climb back on the trolley so you can make it to the CATCO presentation of The Never Ending Story at the Shedd Theatre at 2:30 p.m., which will be perfect timing to get you ready to enter the land of make believe when you head over to see the festive lighting displays at Topiary Park.
