We play well with others! We at the Capital Crossroads and Discovery Special Improvement Districts were very proud to receive the William Habig Collaborative Achievement Award from the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission at its annual State of the Region luncheon last week. The award was one of three presented by MORPC.

Winning was a wonderful and unexpected recognition of the work done by the staff and trustees of both Special Improvement Districts.

The award reads:

In recognition of their collaboration with more than 750 downtown Columbus property owners for area-wide management of the public realm. Through two special improvement districts, property owners partner with the public sector to prevent crime, provide environmental services, market downtown Columbus, and make capital improvements.

Our thanks to all who have helped to make this collaboration possible. Cue the awards ceremony music to sweep us off the stage.
