The Women's Fund of Central Ohio operates with the belief that investing in the potential of women and girls impacts the entire community in a positive way. Next week, they are partnering with the YWCA Columbus for a special event that highlights this commitment.

The event, Womenomics, will feature a presentation from Katie Koch of Goldman Sachs United Kingdom, who is a strong advocate of investing in women. As a developer and communicator for Goldman Sachs' growth market strategy, Koch's work helped spur the company to support and fund the 10,000 Women initiative. This five-year campaign has invested in female entrepreneurs worldwide through education and business management. It combines education with development and business experts to help women expand their prosperity and that of the entire region. Koch's experience makes her an outstanding spokesperson for the power of investment in women and girls.

For the Women's Fund, the YWCA and advocates like Koch and Goldman Sachs, investment isn't just a buzzword. It is a profound effort to affect women's lives, improve our communities, drive growth and reduce poverty. Investing in women is not just good for them individually; it is good for the global economy and every community.

The event will be held on September 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the YWCA Huntington Ballroom. Tickets are 30.00 or 300.00 for a table of ten. Click here to register for this special event.
