It’s time again for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank’s Annual Food Fight. Five percent of all money spent at participating restaurants on Wednesday, June 26, will go to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank to help feed hungry people in Central Ohio.
This is the fifth year for the event which, last year, in just one day raised enough money to purchase more than 75,000 meals. The event is held in conjunction with the Central Ohio Restaurant Association and includes more than 60 restaurants, many of which are right downtown.
This year, the fight will kick off with a new event. Columbus State will host the First Annual Food (Truck) Fight. It will be at the corner of Mt. Vernon Avenue and Cleveland Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Five percent of each customer’s food purchase will go toward the Food Fight pledge. Customers get awesome food while they support a good cause.
Remember, every dollar donated to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank equals three meals for hungry families in our community. For a complete list of participating restaurants please click here.
