Summer may be in the rearview mirror, but that doesn’t mean the festival season is gone with the warm wind. This weekend it will feel like July again (a nice, cool July) with the Riverfront Arts Festival returning to Genoa Park for an eighth year. This event features more than 70 local and national artists representing dern near every medium and style. Whether you are a serious art collector or a casual art fan, you’ll certainly find something that tickles your fancy. In addition to the fabulous artwork, come enjoy local music and sample delicious Columbus cuisine.
All weekend long, September 28 – 30, fun can be found. What kind of fun?
Do you like free money? Throughout the weekend, every hour of the day, $600 in Artbucks will be given away – that’s $100 for six winners each hour that can be spent with participating artists at the festival.
On Friday night, come for Friday Night Happy Hour from 5 – 7 p.m. featuring 2.00 beer and wine.
On Saturday evening you can swing by for the Wine Stroll before hitting WaterFire. Sample five wines from the 15-wine selection for just 10.00
On Sunday you’ll find special Sunday Brunch selections from the food vendors from noon – 2 p.m., including Bloody Marys and Screwdrivers featuring Buckeye Vodka.
All weekend long, come watch leading sand sculptor Carl Jara create a unique work of art with 15 tons of sand.
And in addition to the regional and national artists featured, this year the Riverfront Arts Festival has added a Community Artist Celebration, celebrating artists in the local communities of Dublin, Hilliard, Westerville, New Albany, Upper Arlington, Delaware and Worthington.
