Freshbox Catering launched in 2009 in partnership with Faith Mission Shelter. The group provides a three-tier job-training program that strives to embed life and job skills training in a supportive workplace for those at risk for homelessness and poverty. Once Freshbox associates complete the training program, they're ready to be placed into full-time work with hiring partners in the community.

The program has been so successful that organizers wanted to expand from catering to offer the downtown crowd dine-in options. What's not to like with the goal: Feed Your Appetite. Nourish Your Community.

"Customers said they didn't want to have to wait to have a meeting or an event to be able to enjoy our food," said Lauren Wilson, Freshbox Catering General Manager. "Just like our box meals and platters, cafe sandwiches and salads are all made fresh to order just the way the customer likes."
