Inspired by late Senator John Glenn, the National Veterans’ Memorial and Museum opens on October 27. More than a museum, NVMM exemplifies a living tribute to more than 40 million Americans who’ve served. Architectural Digest named it one of the most anticipated buildings of 2018. In addition, we’ve got the lowdown on the NVMM Grand Opening. Hurry, you might even grab some tickets.
Festivities begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 27 for the NVMM Grand Opening Ceremony. General Colin L. Powell will keynote the event. Extended museum hours and special events run through the weekend. While the Grand Opening Weekend keeps the party going through Sunday, you must nab passes in advance. And heads up. You need a pass for museum entry and a pass for the special ceremonies. Both are limited. So, click on through to see if you can still get them.
But don’t worry if you missed your chance on the NVMM Grand Opening. Beginning October 27, NVMM celebrates the service and honors the sacrifice of veterans year-round. More than that, with 30,000-square feet of available space, exhibits will inspire visitors, educate school children and connect civilians with veterans and their military experience.
