Happy hour at the symphony? Are you kidding? Isn't the symphony old school and a bit stuffy? Well, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra wants to change all that, so they are hosting happy hour concerts - complete with awesome no-cost grub and drink specials. There's one more event for this season.

The CSO Happy Hour Concerts aren't your standard, stuffy symphony experience. The host and guest conductor interacts with the audience and even pokes a little fun at some of the classical pieces. He tosses out fun factoids about the music and those who make it while he encourages the audience to live tweet during the program.

So, bust apart any stereotypes you have about the symphony and head over to the last happy hour of the season. The final performance is Wednesday, March 26. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Mix and mingle while you enjoy drinks and complimentary apps before the show starts at 6:30 p.m. The show lasts about 90 minutes and features guest conductor Rossen Milanov, director of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra. He will lead the CSO in Thomas Ades' Three Studies on Couperin, Haydn's Symphony No. 88 and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5, Movements III & IV.

This is a fun way to get comfortable with classical music as you unwind after a long day while raising a glass - after all, the weekend is just two days away. Whatdya got to lose?
