Although summer is nearing its end, the fun in Downtown Columbus is just beginning this week. We’ve got an eclectic lineup of indoor and outdoor entertainment for young and old.

Monday Night Trivia at Platform Beer Co.

Monday, August 26 | 7:00 pm
Platform Beer Co., 408 N 6th St

Excesss Trivia is in the house, and you should be, too. This is four rounds of buzzer-based quizzing in one of the best taprooms in the Midwest. GYTT (get your team together), buy a brew or some eats at the bar, and ready yourselves for some free play. Four winning teams will each net a $10 gift card. Everyone else will have fun in Downtown Columbus.

Shawn Mendes: The Tour

Tuesday, August 27 | 7:30 pm
Nationwide Arena, 200 W Nationwide Blvd

The reviews of this concert tour headlined by 20-something troubadour, Shawn Mendes, are in and they’re good. Very good. The Canadian singer-songwriter is expected to deliver yet another strong performance in Columbus this week, with a setlist that ranges from soulful, folk-like songs to high-energy radio hits.

Nightlight 614: Anchorman

Thursday, August 29 | 7:30 pm
Genoa Park, 303 W Broad St

What do Will Ferrell, Pinot Grigio, and more than a half-dozen local food trucks have in common? They’re all part of this week’s picnic-style, outdoor movie experience for the over-21 crowd. Beer, wine, food, live music, and the best view of the city skyline start the evening off, followed by a sundown showing of the oh-so popular comedy film, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.

COSI After Dark: Brewing and Distilling

Thursday, August 29 | 6:00 pm
COSI, 333 W Broad St

Welcome to fun for grownups, where adults can act like kids while geeking out on science. Featuring an entire evening themed around beer and spirits, Columbus brewers and local distillers will man their science-focused drink stations. Attendees can learn about fermentation, take a microscopic look at yeast strains, and even sample the goods.

COSI Family Friday Night

Friday, August 30 | 5:00 pm
COSI, 333 W Broad St

This Friday, your family fun starts at COSI. With extended hours and discount admission the last Friday of the month, your entire family will enjoy hundreds of themed areas, interactive exhibits, and hands-on activities. It’s science made fun in Downtown Columbus – all evening long.
