The riverfront is the place to be on Friday nights all summer long. Of course, this Friday, the fireworks extravaganza of Red, White and BOOM! will take center stage, but you won’t want to miss the parade, music and food either. Then most Fridays through September 2, head to the Scioto Mile’s Bicentennial Park Pavilion for Rhythm on the River, featuring a different performance each week. Some performances, dubbed Music + Movie, feature a musical act followed by a movie under the stars.
Bring your family and friends, grab a blanket and spend an evening al fresco. Pack a picnic or purchase food and beverages starting at 6:30 p.m. You can enjoy delicious pizza from Donatos, beer and soft drinks. If you’re feeling a bit less picnic-y, plan to dine at Milestone 229 on their covered patio, though reservations are encouraged.
